Benefits

The key fraction of the tea leaf (Camellia sinensis) that provides all these health benefits is a group of phytochemicals known as Polyphenols. Long known as tea tannin because of their pungent taste, Polyphenols constitute 15 to 30% of unfermented dried green tea and most of the soluble portion of tea. Thus, when you drink a cup of green tea, you're basically drinking a solution of tea Polyphenols. In fresh, unfermented tea leaves, Polyphenols exist as a series of chemicals called catechins, which include gallocatechin (GC), epigallocatechin (EGC), epicatechin (EC), epigallocatechin gallate (EGCg), and epicatechin gallate (ECg).

Body Ecology Green tea essence is extracted with purified water from a blend of "first-flush" Shizuoka and Uji Japanese Green Tea ...

Green tea is processed for Body Ecology in a manner that helps to retain and enhance high concentration levels of naturally occurring antioxidants. Green tea is not fermented.

Body Ecology extracts are made from green tea with approximately 15-30% of the weight of the leaf being composed of Polyphenols; over 50% of this Polyphenol fraction is comprised of (-) Epigallocatechin Gallate(EGCG), the most biologically active and influential Polyphenol in green tea.

Body Ecology Green Tea Extract contains 100 to 80 mg of Polyphenols per 8-oz serving.

Usage Levels

Each 2-oz (57 ml) bottle contains 1,800 drops of pure green tea extract. Typical usage is 20-drops, or to taste, in 8-ounces of water.

Each bottle will yield from 60 to 90 8-oz servings.
